The Second Workshop was held in Valladolid, Spain, July 3-5 1996 with 24 oral presentations and 26 posters. Twenty papers were selected for publication in a Special Issue of Fluid Phase Equilibria, Vol. 133 (1/2), 1- 270 (1997).
A very successfulThirdand Final workshop was held as part of the 15th.IUPAC International Conference on Chemical Thermodynamics, Porto,Portugal, August 1998, with 10 oral and11 poster presentations and a final round-table discussion. Selectedpapers were published as : Special Issue, 3rd International Workshopon Vapour-liquid equilibria and related properties in binary and ternarymixtures of ethers, alkanes and alkanols, Fluid Phase Equilibria,Vol. 156, 1-236 (1999). The following key systems were identifiedas being of particular interest with a need for further experimentalmeasurements of all the relevant properties:
MTBE +- methanol +- hexane/heptane
TAME +- amyl alcohol +- hexane/heptane
Diethyl ether +- ethanol +- pentane/hexane/heptane
