Project Details:

Trace Elements in Human Serum Series: International Measurement Evaluation Programme (IMEP-7)

Project No.:240-10-96
Start date:1996-01-01
End date:1998-12-31
Division:Inorganic Chemistry Division
Objective:

Measurement of human serum for physiologically or toxicologically important trace elements remains an important objective of medical science. Interlaboratory studies are conducted within limited regions around the world, but comparability of data is always difficult to define. The present programme will involve laboratories from all corners of the world and will provide an opportunity to compare normal methods and laboratory performance by region or by laboratory. The study is planned to examine 6 elements at natural levels.

Description:
No description available.
Progress:
Nine elements were certified or assigned for the human serum IMEP.The participants programme was completed in 1998 shortly after theGeneva meeting.
