Project Details:
Nomenclature of chromatography of polymers and related substances
| Project No.: | 422-1-98 |
| Start date: | 1998-01-01 |
| End date: | 2000-12-31 |
| Division: | Polymer Division |
Objective:
Several liquid chromatographic methods have been extensively usedfor molecular characterization of polymers since the mid-sixties.They are based on a single separation mechanism, viz. either exclusionor adsorption. Within the last few years, however, numerous newliquid chromatographic methods were introduced that couple two andmore separation mechanisms, for which is necessary to create a consistentnomenclature. The work will be based on the general "Nomenclaturefor Chromatography" (Pure Appl. Chem. 65, 819(1993)) which will be updated.
