The chemical literature is being searched for all published solubility data for propene and other alkenes and dialkenes in all liquids. Appropriate data is being compiled and critically evaluated. Compilations and evaluations will be published in a volume of the IUPAC Solubility Data Series. The volume will complement volumes already published or in advanced state of preparation which cover the solubilities of other hydrocarbon gases, i.e. methane, ethane, propane, butane, 2-methylpropane, ethene, ethyne and higher alkynes. The published volume will be a source of information about the behaviour of the gases and find use in industry and in research institutions.
