Objective:
Membrane technology has received considerable attention as an effective alternative drinking water treatment process. However, major physical and chemical parameters affect membrane performance.
The viability of membrane separation techniques as an advanced alternative technology for drinking water treatment, desalination of sea and brackish water and for renovation of effluents is being evaluated, including the performance of new selective membranes and the fouling of the anion exchange membrane in ED systems.
