General Information and Preliminary Schedule for 46th IUPAC General Assembly, San Juan, Puerto Rico
The IUPAC General Assembly (GA) is the occasion for meetings of the statutory bodies of the Union, specifically of the Council, Division committees, and Standing Committees.
The 46th IUPAC General Assembly will take place 27 July - 5 August 2011, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, running concurrently with the 43rd IUPAC World Chemistry Congress.
The venue for the GA will be the Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel, while the Congress will take place at the immediately adjacent Puerto Rico Convention Center. Detailed information about the Congress may be found at www.iupac2011.org, including the preliminary technical program.
Please note that the Secretariat is implementing a more efficient on-line registration system for this GA and we plan to have this new system up and running early in 2011. You will be notified when registration is open.

The scope and importance of the GA and Congress in San Juan are amplified many fold because both will occur in the middle of the International Year of Chemistry 2011 (IYC 2011). More details of the IYC 2011 may be found at www.chemistry2011.org.
