Provisional Recommendation: Guidelines for Reporting of Phase Equilibrium Measurements

The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry is pleased to announce the following Provisional Recommendation.

Abstract:

Recommendations are given for reporting in the primary scientific literature of measurements involving phase equilibrium. The focus is on documentation issues, and many of the recommendations may also be applied to the more general fields of thermodynamic and transport properties. The historical context of the work and specific plans for implementation of the recommendations are discussed.

IUPAC seeks your comments

Comments should be submitted by 31 October 2011. The text of the Provisional Recommendation can be downloaded from http://media.iupac.org/reports/provisional/abstract11/chirico_311011.html. Comments should be sent to Dr. Robert D. Chirico at chirico@boulder.nist.gov.

Provisional Recommendations are drafts of IUPAC recommendations comprising topics on terminology, nomenclature, and symbols. These recommendations are made widely available to allow interested parties to comment before the recommendations are finally revised and published in Pure and Applied Chemistry.
