The Second Workshop was held in Valladolid, Spain, July 3-5 1996 with 24 oral presentations and 26 posters. Twenty papers were selected for publication in a Special Issue of Fluid Phase Equilibria, Vol. 133 (1/2), 1- 270 (1997).
A very successful Third
and Final workshop was held as part of the 15th.
IUPAC International Conference on Chemical Thermodynamics, Porto,
Portugal, August 1998, with 10 oral and
11 poster presentations and a final round-table discussion. Selected
papers were published as : Special Issue, 3rd International Workshop
on Vapour-liquid equilibria and related properties in binary and ternary
mixtures of ethers, alkanes and alkanols, Fluid Phase Equilibria,
Vol. 156, 1-236 (1999). The following key systems were identified
as being of particular interest with a need for further experimental
measurements of all the relevant properties:
MTBE +- methanol +- hexane/heptane
TAME +- amyl alcohol +- hexane/heptane
Diethyl ether +- ethanol +- pentane/hexane/heptane
