Objective

This very small project is concerned with a completion of the IUPAC document on the same subject published in PAC, 54(1982)2553. It will complete the classification of the whole field. Little effort is required but it is important to have the uniform usage of terms and classification accepted by an official body like IUPAC.

Progress

The third draft of this document was discussed at the Bologna meeting in August 1997. A final version of this document was prepared by Prof Burns, sent to the Commission Secretary to sent with the completed project form to the Division Secretary. The final version with minor corrections has been accepted by the Division.

A provisional document has been prepared and distributed for review. The public comment period ends 1 Dec. 1998.
