Objective

The main objective of this document is to describe a method for chemical analysis of complex samples using supersonic jet spectroscopy. More than 300 organic molecules have already been measured using this method, and a compilation of their 0-0 transitions has been made. Once a complete database of all transitions of these molecules has been made, analytes can be very accurately determined without using a standard sample. In this project, we will calibrate transitions using wavemeter technologies to an accuracy of 0.01 nm over the entire UV/Visible region. We will define the usage of the spectral data for analysis of spectra in complex samples.
