Project: Non-Selective Sensors Arrays ("Electronic Nose", "Electronic Tongue") Chemical Analysis: Classification and Characterization

Objective

A new concept for sensor constructions has been developed and consists of non-selective sensor arrays with special mathematical treatment of responses using pattern recognition. Realisation includes analytical tools such as "electronic nose" and "electronic tongue" devices. The electroanalytical methods applied to the devices, to date, include conductivity, potentiometry and amperometry. It is important to organise the field before classification and characterisation are developed by non electrochemists.
