Objective

Trace elements constitute an important part of toxicology, environmental sciences and clinical chemistry. However, there is not any international standard on the syntax, nomenclature and units related with the properties of trace elements. Thus, the involvement of IUPAC in the production of a recommendation on this matter will be very helpful to the scientific community.
