Call for Nominations
Royal DSM N.V., the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company headquartered in the Netherlands, is pleased to invite nominations for the DSM Performance Materials Award 2010. The Award – which carries a cash prize of EUR 50,000 – has been established to recognize and reward excellence in innovative research in the materials sciences.
The DSM Performance Materials Award 2010 will be granted for outstanding achievements in research related to the Properties, Processing and Engineering of Polymers. Scientists who have made major contributions to fundamental or applied research in this field can be nominated for the award. A prime requirement is that the candidate’s research must have significantly advanced the world’s understanding and knowledge of key questions in the field mentioned. An international judging committee will review the nominations and select the winner.
Candidates* for the award can be put forward by nomination only. Candidates cannot nominate themselves.
Nominations must be made using the nomination form on DSM’s awards website at www.innovationawards.dsm.com. Additional information should be submitted in electronic form to: edith.kreek-de@dsm.com.
Closing date: January 8, 2010
The award will be presented at the MACRO 2010: 43rd IUPAC World Polymer Congress in Glasgow, UK, on July 12, 2010. The award recipient must be present to accept the award and present a paper on his/her research achievements.
